AMIGURUMI--MY SECRET ADDICTION.

Aardvarks to Zippers--I dream them in crochet!

In the little free time that I get, especially after those short winter days when I get home and it is nice and cool, I like to sit in front of the television and knit or crochet little amigurumi toys.

I must admit that I am addicted to creating them. Now, in the yucky, muggy, soggy, sticky Calcutta heat, I cannot even bear the thought of touching wool. Yet, some evenings, I find myself yearning to wrap my fingers around some wool and crochet a tiny toy!

This year, I've made a bagful of words--the entire alphabet with an amigurumi for every letter. I made a beach scene and a jungle and dogs and cats, fish and birds, sheep and elephants, cockroaches and ants, crabs and turtles, spiders and snakes, penguins and lizards, bats and beetles...

I've been toying (please notice the pun!) with the idea of sharing some of my patterns with you. So if any of you knit and/or crochet and would like some tips and patterns before the delicious winter days set in, just ask me in a comment or e-mail me and I will post a pattern for you here as soon as I figure out how to write it out for you!

This year, I'm joining the April A-Z Challenge.
